Today, i have interviewed my aunt Leigh Tuiavii-Boateng. She has migrated to New Zealand when she was 18 years of age and for the first couple of years she has found it hard to fit in because of how different the things are compared to Samoa. But she managed to just fit in building a new family and a new life and better future.

But she managed to just fit in building a new family and a new life and better future.
- Why did you migrate to New Zealand? To pursue a better life.
- What did you like about NZ that you decided to move? The good education.
- What is the big difference between your old country and New Zealand. The cultural differences for example the Food,cultural dancing,language,money(we call it tala and in NZ its called dollars.),clothes you wear.
- What was your pull factors? to have a better future and learn about the cultural aspects.
- What are the positives about your country? People of great faith and Samoan traditions,big hearts will fight till the end,family orientated and rooted, Faasamoa ways that continue to generation to generation, and when one of own make it big,no matter where in the world we are,we stand as a nation with support and proud that one of our own have a made a mark.
- What do you miss about your old country? Obviously the food,Culture,Family,
- What reasons did you have for living in the Waikato instead of other cities? The cost of living is cheaper than the other cities and Family.
- What would you prefer Samoa or New Zealand?Why? I prefer both because it all has its differences in culture
- Did you come alone if not, who with? Yes
- Was there a particular thing why you came here ? Yes, to help my family with financial difficulties,
